My Three Favorite Summer Amazon Purchases!

When my kids look back on their summer nights, I think these are what will fill their memories! Running around in the dark, catching fireflies, swinging under the glow of the lights, and curling up to watch movies outside! Last night was so much fun thanks to these three Amazon purchases!

String Lights

Look, I’m a string light girl. It is what it is. my husband rolls his eyes every time he sees me out on a ladder hanging up more. I just can’t hep it… it’s such a vibe! I’ve tried mannyy different kinds and brands over the years, and I have to say, these are the BEST. The “string” is heavy duty and sturdy, the bulbs are shatterproof plastic instead of glass so you don’t have to worry about them breaking, they give off a great warm glow, and they are the best bang for your buck as far as cost/length. We have these every where- from the barn, to the porch, even hanging in our trees. Highly, highly recommend.

2. Hanging Hammock Swings

These are by far a FAVORITE over here! These kids have a lot to do outdoors– swingsets, trampolines, you name it… but nothing gets used more than these darn swings! In fact, I was up in the tree yesterday looking for good branches to hang a third (and hopefully a 4th and 5th)! My kids are totally obsessed with these. Parents, you’ll use them too! PS- some of you have asked me if I used the hanging kit, and I did not. We just did the good old fashioned rope and branch and they’ve been hanging in this tree no problem for two years!

3. Outdoor Movie Projector

I bought our movie projector two years ago, and unfortunately we were never able to use it outside because well, country wifi. But thanks to Starlink, we are finally able to use this thing! It appears that the exact model we have is outdated (I got a cheap Onn brand Roku projector) but it looks nearly identical to this one. Plus, this one comes WITH the screen AND has a 10% off coupon right now, with pretty darn good reviews! My kids have even used our projector in the house to set up fun movie nights in their rooms. This is a great all around summer purchase!
